MA / Intercultural Studies

The Master of Arts concentration in Intercultural Studies seeks to prepare students to embark on the task of Christian mission, or for experienced missionaries wanting to better integrate the discipline of missiology with the practice of missions. The program will help the student to better understand Scripture with the aim of communicating the Gospel through bridging cultures at home and abroad. The student will be better equipped to contribute to the development of national leadership in churches and church-related institutions. This program can serve as continuing education for experienced missionaries, to prepare practitioners and teachers of missions, for mission pastors and those who lead and train short-term missions. The program, while global in its focus, will also provide useful skills for those exploring issues of the Gospel and culture in Western contexts.
